Max Ooi: Central Continent Sdn Bhd is a total logistic company base in Kuala Lumpur / Port Klang , Malaysia . Our group of companies posses 80 container trucks , 20 cargo trucks , 2 container yards, custom broker license , a small warehouse and also a team who is specialize in ocean freight . 

JCtrans: Would you please talk about your core-competitiveness?

Max Ooi: Hardware – stated above, our group of companies own the trucks / container yards / custom license / warehouse – make us much competitive in term of logistics arrangement and also the mitigate chances of failure on cargo delivery.

Network – We are well connected with major shipping companies in Malaysia, mutual respect among us have create a special working relationship. Not to forget , we are part of JC Trans / WCA which members around the world are helping each others.

JCtrans: What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company?

Max Ooi: Sincerity – we always believe that sincere / honest advice to customers is much better that given a false hope. There are a lot of possible scenarios might possibly happen, it is our job to inform customer in advance.

Professionalism – Be professional , give the right advice , right options to customers .

JCtrans: Would you please talk about the situation of logistic industry in your country?

Max Ooi: During initial lock down during Covid-19 in Malaysia , only essential goods are allow to move . There after, more and more cargos are allow to import / export . We are fortunately that our Malaysian base Logistics association is doing a great job of constant communicate with Malaysia government on the needs of the industry . 

JCtrans: Would you please talk about your strategy to explore foreign market?

Max Ooi: Being members of JC Trans , we have handsome amount of agents to explore to . However, we are hopefully to work with more sincere oversea agents that appreciate our business portfolio.

JCtrans: What is the reason that makes you become a GCP member to develop your business?

Max Ooi: Being a GCP member , it gives confidence to oversea counterparts as there is protection of payment . The same goes to our company whereby we only deal with agents with financial protection. 

JCtrans: How do you maintain a long-term cooperation relationship with your clients?

Max Ooi: Offer a professional services , reasonable rate and always prompt in reply clients enquiry .
