JCtrans: Would you please talk about your core-competitiveness?

Chaitaly Mehta: We are available 24x7. We handle all types of cargoes except Scrap. We handle both Ocean and Air in both Exports and Imports. We are known for our Honesty and Transparent methods of handling the shipments.

JCtrans: What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company?

Chaitaly Mehta: Honesty, Integrity, Good Staff, Thorough knowledge of the subject, Good Relations with airlines and shipping lines, knowing the laws and government compliances and most importantly having a good cash flow.

JCtrans: Would you please talk about the situation of logistic industry in your country?

Chaitaly Mehta: India is has very good relations with all the countries and there is a lot of trade between India and the other countries. Logistics is of course important not only in India but all over the world. We have many international airports, sea ports and ICDs. India is one of the largest exporters of Pharmaceuticals in the world. Handicrafts, Garments, Textiles, Chemicals, Engineering Goods, Automobile Goods are other important commodities that are exported. The Indian customs is working 24x7 so clearance of goods for both Imports and Exports is quite smooth and quick. The clearances are all electronically done so we are as good with our technology as the World. We have world class facilities and good infrastructure too. India is very well connected to the World by air and ocean and all the major airlines and shipping calls fly/call here.

JCtrans: Would you please talk about your strategy to explore foreign market?

Chaitaly Mehta: It is important to have an overseas partner in every country that has an airport and sea port or ICD but it is also essential not to create unnecessary competition or have too many partners. It doesn’t help the business. We are very clear when we choose an overseas agent – we would want our partner to have and imbibe the same qualities that we do so that there is a long term relationship and not just for 1 shipment. Financial protection and stability of the partner is also very important.

JCtrans: What is the reason that makes you become a GCP member to develop your business?

Chaitaly Mehta: We are JC Trans oldest member in India and also the network. GCP membership is important because of the financial protection and also because of the additional advantage of having JC Tran do the marketing for you and become your own spokesperson.

JCtrans: How do you maintain a long-term cooperation relationship with your clients?

Chaitaly Mehta: We believe that when a client comes to us they stay with us- they grow and in turn we grow with them. We are very proud that many of our clients have been with us for more than 30 years. We are honest with them, transparent with them and our doors are always open for them and our phones available 24x7. We firmly believe that the Management has to be accessible to the staff, team and the client regardless of their position. We nurture them, teach them and help them grow their business by taking care of their cargoes and shipments.
